Can anyone figure this out?

Following OCLP install of Sonoma or Ventura on a 2011 iMac 27¨12,2:

The machine boots, then freezes with signage indicating ¨Registered to an organization¨.
Signage (below) claims to be from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

This iMac has a recycled main board purchased on ebay.
Operation is normal on High Sierra.

Thanks,

Philip

The implication is that this main board came from a Mac which was "managed" by LivIT using Jamf. I suspect it is not worth the hassle to contact them with all the board details.
Operation is normal on High Sierra.
I don't understand why that works, but just use the Mac with whatever version of macOS will install.

I appreciate your reply.

I´m going to reach out to Jamf, partly out of innate stubborness and because I enjoy extending the usefull life of older hardware.

High Sierra is working normally but some of my software requires a current OS.

Thanks again,

Philip

Quite rightly too. The lab probably sold off old kit in an effort to be more sustainable. Locked boards defeat the object. And you never know, a routine Apple security patch may even lock the board in Sierra one day.
