just upgraded from old 27" (Usb2) iMac to new 27" (USB3) iMac..
used migration to bring over all my files.

now I am having permissions problems,..

I use Photoshop All day long, and so often use Bridge like the finder to great folders & drag & drop files, etc. now if I move a file in bridge to a folder it says I dont have enough permissions, but if I do it in the finder it goes OK.

I know it seems to be a Adobe bridge problem, but have never had this problem before, and I can't find where in Bridge I fix permissions. and As far as I know, permission is only a apple finder problem.?!?

any hints on how to fix it, other that clicking on each file and laboriously using info page to change permissions. would be greatly appreciated.
regards, Sandy

You'll need to be a bit more specific about the problems you are having.

Which version of Creative Suite? Which OS X version? What is the exact error message? What are the permissions of the files that you're trying to move?

Did you Migrate the Adobe apps, or reinstall from the disk? In my experience, CS needs to be reinstalled.

Hi,
I am using OSX 10.8.3, Adobe Bridge CS5 and Photoshop CS5.

I ran repair permissions from disk utility, and now the results are inconsistent.

in that if I use bridge to drag & drop a file from the desktop to a folder on the desktop it work ok.
but is I dark and image file from the HD to a folder on the hard disk I get an error message that I dont have permissions to do that. (image 1)

and if I dark an image file that is on the desk top to the hard disk, but not to a folder on the hard disk, I get a circle with a strike through (not allowed) (image 2. dam the screen capture as that cursor and that circle with astrike through did not capture, but I am trying to drag the image to the hard disk not a folder)

problems is, Photoshop is running so smooth now, I dont want to have to re install it all, as I have to spend time getting the filters right (as there is some incompatibilities between NIK filters and Onone filters...

regars, Sandy
