Strange problems with my 2.16 CD MBP..... Battery Related?

I use my MBP fairly regularly, and pretty heavily. I need to be nice to it and give it another stick of ram, but for now, its a 2.16, 1 gig, OSX 10.4.7. I use it for managing a few thousand RAW photos, PS2, Lightroom, and........ Firefox

I've been noticing some weird things lately. For one, things seem to have slowed down a LOT, but I think thats just me needing more RAM. (290,093 page ins, 122,808 page outs; up 4 days, 9:55) ((That includes a lot of encoding iPod video)) Anyway, on to the problems

I routinely use my battery until I get the low battery warning, and then plug it in and charge it full. I VERY RARELY will interrupt a charge, or start a charge with a halfway depleted battery. I also cycle my battery fairly regularly. Lately, I'll close my computer with anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour and some left on the battery, and then when I open it, it doesn't work until I plug it in. I know the battery left time is an approximation, but I just closed my computer with 27 minutes left, opened it about 5 minutes later, everything came up, the timer went to "calculating" and then it shut off.

I plugged it in, pressed power, screen turns grey for awhile, the question mark folder pops up for less than a second, and now i'm back in business......... except that it says bluetooth is unavailible.

Anyone have any ideas?

I AM NOT SURE ABOUT THIS but maybe the issue is that bluetooth is enabled even when the lid is closed. If so, Bluetooth could be the culprit as I have other devices with Bluetooth and when BT is enabled it drains the batteries rather quickly especially while it is searching for other BT devices. Do you have to have BT on? B/C you could turn it off and see if that solves your probs.

A good ol' restart usually cures the BT unavailables thingy.

You don't have to use the battery through whenever you start a new cycle, that's onyl for older batteries. It's just important that you calibrate it at least once a month.
