This has just started happening and for the life of me I can't work out how to fix it. I'm now unable to send pictures as this red exclamation mark appears whenever I attempt to.
So far I have tried rebooting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, reseting the network settings but to no avail.
Anyone had this issue recently and found a solution? If it makes a difference it is on an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried disabling iMessage and then re-enabling it again to see if that might make a difference?

Is iMessage linked to Facebook Messenger? It is Facebook Messenger that won't allow me to send pictures, iMessage is working fine.

What version of iOS are you running? Mine is super old because I use this phone for testing web developer stuff.

It is really odd, I can still send written text and links to content but just not pictures......
& fyi yeah I had the exact same issue but it seems to have resolved itself somehow. I don’t know if (or even how) it would affect this but I sent a voice message, then used the photo app inside of messenger, both of which worked, then I added an image from my camera roll & no more red ! so hopefully you are good now too?

It's not connected to Facebook Messenger -- it didn't seem like this was about that app originally.

I am not getting Facebook Messenger notifications on my IPhone 12 pro max. I have turned on/off notifications for the app and still nothing. No red number, no sound, no drop down notification. I have to open the App and actually go into a chat to see if someone replied. All other apps notifications work fine. Anyone else have this issue?
