Hey all,

Can't figure something out on my friend's new MacBook. he's brought over all his music from his ipod, and suddenly the harddrive space looks like this attached photo. We can't figure out for the life of us what's taking up so much space- any ideas on how to find out/what to do? Thanks for all your help.

WhatSize should do the trick...:)

How much music was there on the iPod?

Did it accidently get copied more than once?

Have you tried restarting to see if the computer is just confused for whatever reason?

To start, you can hit up WhatSize (now Universal :) ), http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21149

which will guide you to where the space is being used.

edit: oohh...beaten by seconds.

thanks for the extra-speedy reply! whatsize helped us realize that there were over 4,300 files in trash (from deleting double-songs).

Thanks!
