Strategy games for Windows, on Mac

A friend of mine is ready to buy a desktop pc in order to play strategy games.
I want to tell it to switch to mac and run strategy games of windows through bootcamp or parallels. Of course he will use it for office applications too.

Should I tell him go for a mac mini? Or imac is the minimum requirement for all he wants?

Is it a good idea?
What about performance of games in parallels?
I hope strategy games would run sufficiently because the arcade games are the ones with many requirements as far as I know.

From the other hand, I do not want to tell my friend to buy a mac and be dissatisfied from mac experience in windows gaming.

What do you suggest?

The Mini won't run games well in Bootcamp, let alone Parallels.

iMac is a minimum, and if you're friend is a gamer then don't force him to the Mac. It should be okay if he's a casual gamer, but if he wants power the iMac doesn't have it for graphics.

Macs are sleek and beautiful machines, but if someone wants to game heavily, then they ether need a console or a PC as of today. If he just wants to boot up Civ and so on every now and again, though, then get a Mac.
