Hi guys,
I've been trying to find an updated comparison of these two since the most recent I could find was from a year ago, and with the pace of updates and new tech coming out in the last year I thought I'd search for something recent.
About me: I ride my bike casually. I don't own any lycra and my bike costs less than $300. I bought a bike to help me be more active, shed a few pounds and generally get in better shape. Maybe at some point I'll spend the big bucks on gear, but at this point I'm not super serious about it. I ride it to work M-F and around the neighbourhoods on weekends. I use Myfitnesspal to track my calories.
What I want: Something that will track my cycling distance and calories that I can use in myfitnesspal. I do admit I like seeing my pace after I finish a ride in MMR and I find it motivating to see the route I took and try and do it faster the next time. I just recently started hearing a lot about Strava compared to MMR (I've only used MMR for a weekend).
Can anyone tell me if there is a significant difference to the two (not the premium versions). I don't like that MMR does not give me cycling distance in the health app, I find it again motivating to see the total steps I've taken in a day and cycling distance I've done.
Thanks!
