Stream Apple TV multiroom

I'm using Apple TV as a replacement for my Sonos setup (sick of the lack of double-byte support). Now I need to stream my music into my kitchen and bedroom. I'm thinking of the EOS Wireless system. But in my living room I want better speakers, so there I'm thinking AudioEngine, in which case I would need some sort of splitter. Will that work? Other suggestions on how I can end up with great audio in my living room and decent quality in a few other rooms? I don't want to go Mac+AirTunes (like the TV control approach).
