Hi all,

I'll try to keep this as simple as possible:

What I'm trying to do: Connect iPhone to WiFi in my apartment, and use a streaming music service (Spotify/Rdio/MOG) through mobile app on iPhone to wirelessly play on my home theater speakers.

What I know: So far what I have found is that I can get an Airport Express and connect it to my modem and speaker system. This would allow me to play music from my phone to my speakers.

My Questions:
1. Would it be as simple as what I wrote above? Would I be able to play any source of music (Rdio or MOG) through Airplay straight to my speakers? Would it be as easy as in this link? http://deviceknit.com/knits/9/stream-audio-wirelessly-from-pandora-on-your-iphone-ipad-or-ipod-touch-to-speakers/
2. Through airport express I would connect my iPhone to the WiFi that the airport express is on (as seen in link above). If I have another router, could both the airport express and the other router be on the same WiFi network? What I mean is, will they integrate together so that I am streaming to my iPhone through the other router and then still be connected with my iPhone to the Airport Express to play the music. (In the video he connects his iPhone to the airport express router and then plays music to the speakers, but doesn't say if he is streaming music to his iphone with 3G or with WiFi)

Thanks a ton, I appreciate the responses!

Yes, most app's have airplay built into them via AirPort express or Apple TV. And yes it is really that simple. It just works, as long as the app has it built in. Even so many receivers have optional iPod docks that charge and toss out audio and video.

you can have the express join your existing wireless network, or if it's close to the router, just connect it via ethernet (your phone will connect to it through the router)

if you are having the express join your existing network, i recommend plugging an ethernet cable between the express and your computer to get everything setup. once configured you can disconnect the ethernet, and just let it be.

Yes, I have 5 AirPlay devices in the house and they work great. I use MOG streaming most of the time.

Thanks everyone! I'm a recent convert to apple... I used to have an android so it's taking a while to get used to how easy everything is on my iphone, haha.
