Where can I get a iOS app that uses “local” OSX “Photos" app content to stream local photos in their original folder and album structure to iOS devices remotely?

I used to use a application called BlinQ that let me view and manage all my photos in their original album and folder structure in iPhoto on a MacPro, completely remotely and all for free.

Is there another application that will allow me to do this?

The "Photos" app broke BlinQ, and I have not found a replacement :(

I want to stream all my photos to iOS devices in their original folder and album structure, so it feels like I am sitting in front of my computer at home in the way it is organized for every device.

I dont want to hassle with a subscription cloud service that takes forever to upload as well as manage, and has limitations to library size if possible. I want everything that is in my library, as if I were right there, like I used to have.

It was like having a local iPhotos library in your hands wherever you were streamed, I really REALLY want to find a way to do this again in this way!

Any ideas where to look or what to look at to find something that will allow me to do this?

I am finding it difficult to term and phrase how specifically this application worked, if I can provide any clarity, or restate the request more clearly please don't hesitate to ask for clarification.

Bad videos, but these go over the application to show how it worked, and it worked WAY better than these videos describe !

Plex does this. Although still waiting for them to add support for Photos libraries. Streams regular folders from Finder just fine though (as Blinq does too, no?). It's likelier that Plex will add support for Photos libraries sooner than Blinq will (if ever) as there was not much news from their side in the recent year or so.

Thanks, every time I am looking for answers to this issue, its as if no one has ever considered/cared that this is easily possible, or maybe they dont want/need it.

I think its fantastic! And miss the hell out of it!

Not sure but I think BlinQ is done for, emailed their suport, no replies, and now their site is down I think...

Can you describe how plex handles this task? it streams the content from "Photos" app to devices in their respective folders and albums, or did on iPhoto? No local content on the iOS device?

Are there any other services that are capable of doing this to look into?

I really REALLY want this functionality back!

Plex is the only one, besides Blinq, AFAIK that does this over the internet. I would be REALLY interested in finding out if there is any other too.

Plex has support for iPhoto libraries and for Finder folders (i.e., regular folders on your mac). It streams photos from the server Mac (or a PC or a NAS) to pretty much any device on the planet now either locally or over the internet. They've got clients for TVs, smart phones, game consoles, the new apple tv app is in the works too etc now. The only thing that Plex needs is to add support for Photos.app libraries. They MUST be working on that. Until then, Plex works great to stream photos to me from regular folders I've got on my Mac.

If you are looking for local only streaming, then there are DLNA servers that you could use, but those would be regular folders only (no iPhoto or Photos libraries support possible).

Did plex allow you to view the items in their respective iPhotos Folders and Albums? Its an organization issue that I am truly looking to fix. I can get to the items, but they are all organized correctly, and I have no way to get the content in the partitioned and labeled albums and folders the way they are presented in iPhoto/Photos app.

Thank you! Now at least I have something to research and HOPE for...

Admittedly I may not understand, but why is this not baked right in, just so they can sell cloud services?

BlinQ works perfect! Just couldn't have asked for something better. I honestly considered setting up a duplicate iPhoto library just to utilize it, but I cant figure out how to reverse the conversion Photos app did to the library, and have since written over the backup :( and it will not allow the “converted” iPhotos library to be picked up with BlinQ :(...Rock and a Hard place...

If apple supported a like platform with basic settings and features, it would span their application across all screens seamlessly.

Is there a equivalent application that will work for "Photos App" for Mac yet ?

This worked SO well I really would like identical streaming functionality back if at all possible!

Searching for information only leads me back to my own OLD threads :(
