Stream vlc player

I need to AirPlay network stream (mms link) from Mac to apple tv. Generally I use vlc player to do my job, but I can't AirPlay to apple tv from vlc.

Why not use iTunes?

I use itunes for all my movies and music. But this is a network stream link which i got from one of the sports websites. It plays live telecast of soccer match.

I guess you'll have to cross your fingers and hope Apple eventually adds Soccer to their streaming sports lineup.
