Has anything more been said or heard about Apple's move to offer a classical music streaming service that was talked about several months back?

I've not heard anything. I'm still trying to figure what unique features it might bring to the table considering classical music is available via the regular iTunes / Music app. Maybe it's about customized recommendations leaning more towards classical.

I'm disappointed that nothing was announced this week.

I have been using iTunes/Apple Music since inception - however - I currently have a three-month trial with Amazon Ultra HD.

Quite impressive - I perceive a quality improvement over our Sonos-equipped home (Amazon often streams in Hi-Res) - the search function is much snappier than on Apple Music, and they recommend classical albums that are interesting and related to my likes. Amazing 🤣
