Streaming from iMac to xbox 360

I am looking at buying an xbox 360 for games but also I would like to use it to look at pics and home video's on the TV and possibly downloaded movies.

I have looked through the older posts and it seems you can stream content between the two. Is that correct ? Is it difficult ? Is it reliable ?
(something like TV)

Any advice or tip's would be appreciated.

I have installed connect 360 on my G4 ibook and it works perfectly. I can't believe how good it is. It streams perfectly no delay. Why would anyone buy TV, this thing seems to do everything and more.

Personally, I have a 360 and love Connect360... but use it for little else then music. The fact it doesn't play my purchased tracks is pretty annoying, though.

I suppose I am just getting carried away with how perfectly this works. For me I was looking at buying TV or a mini to look at photo's, music and home vids.
Trading in my old xbox console and some games it was very cheap to upgrade to a xbox360.

Anyway I am very happy.

There is also an update for the 360 that enables AAC audio file support for non-iTunes Music Store files (if you imported Audio CDs for example).

It was rather hard to find in the "Game" downloads, even following the directions from Microsoft's own Xbox 360 website. I think they had the wrong file name listed.

Anywho, you simply download it and bam your 360 has AAC audio support. Of course Connect 360 transcodes to WMA to stream, but if you copy files over to the 360 (via iPod or USB drive I guess) you can use AAC file formats.

One of these days I will get the 120 gig HD to actually be able to store stuff like extra music on my 360. I have slightly more than 12 gig free, and one HD-quality movie rental took about 9 gig last week. One game's save data is almost 800 meg alone. Geeze.

Get a 120 gig. HDD while you are at it!
