iPod Streaming From Itunes to Itouch

Does anyone have any Idea if this will ever be enabled, streaming audio and video Content seems like a No Brainer feature, at least to me.

Please advise:

Is it possible to use itouch as a media player as follows:
Place itouch in cradle and connect cradle to HIFI then connect over wifi home network onto NAS (that can act as an itunes server) and play music from NAS on the HIFI via itouch as described?

There isn't anything available for non-jailbroken iTouch. Problem you may run into though is the fact is doesn't have a Wireless-N receiver; therefore, only transferring over G, looking pretty crappy. I'm interested to see what others think though because it sure would be nice. I'm loving Simplify for the audio though. I just wish I could stream audio from my iTouch to my Airport Express without having my iTunes connected. Ideas for that?

I am using Popcorn Hour 110 for video streaming (via HDMI onto full HD LCD TV), however for audio i wanted to be able to leaflet through the album cover collection of itunes server on my NAS and WIFI G should suffice for MP3. I am just not sure how to do it (and don't want to purchase an itouch before I am not sure it really works...)
