My brother has a mid-1910 iMac. He would like to be able to stream i-tunes, etc. to his TV. Would either the Roku 2 or a smart blu ray player work ? If so, which one would be better ? Or is there a better solution ?Thinking of getting him one for Christmas.

Thanks for your help.

Why would you get either one of those when the Apple TV is custom made to do just that??? Either the Apple 3($69) or the Apple 4($149 or $199) depending on your budget. As of right now, I frankly don't see a big advantage to the Apple 4 and I have both versions. I actually think the apps for the Apple 3 are just as good and the connectivity to your iTunes library is better, but if you want to future proof Apple 4 may be the way to go.
