Hi all.

I got my iPhone 15 Pro on launch day. Since then I have had worsening issues with dropped sound and static when streaming. I wear Oticon Real hearing aids but it has also occurred wearing AirPods.

Tried all usual solutions with Apple to no avail.

I got my device replaced by Apple but still have the same issue so suspect it is a possible compatibility issue or a design flaw with the iPhone 15 Pro model.

I have tried the latest software 17.1 with my other iPhone devices with no issues including iPhone 15. Works fine on my iPad Pro as well. It’s just specifically iPhone 15 Pro that I’m having this issue with.

Has anyone else who have the new iPhone had this issue at all?

I am aware of static issues over 80% volume but this is occurring me for regardless of volume setting.

Thanks in advance.

I am having the exact same issue. iPhone 13 pro max is fine but my new iPhone 15 pro max has the same issues. I am sending back my new 15 Pro Max for that reason. Sad because I love the phone.

I will add I have set the new phone up with just the stock apps to eliminate interference from 3rd party apps and same problem. Called apple and of course they want to blame the hearing aids.

It also occurs with AirPods as well… so not just hearing aids.

My case has been escalated to the Apple engineers now and they will be installing their diagnostic logs app on my iPhone 15 Pro so they can hopefully get the bottom of it. They did say they are aware of this issue so I’m hoping that means they will start looking into a fix for it now.

Little update, I took that iPhone 15 Pro Max and returned it. I then bought a new iPhone 15 Pro Max and it confirms what you said Victoriani. The new one I just bought has the exact same problem. So now the question is do I keep it or assume they will fix the problem through an update.

Let’s hope so. There are quite a few people on the Apple Community forums with the same issue so it appears more widespread as more people get the iPhone 15 Pro models. I’m speaking to Apple tomorrow and hopefully we can get the issue in the diagnostics logs for them to review and then hopefully resolve it with a software update.

I discovered something interesting. After setting up my new phone from a backup yesterday I had the same problem as I stated earlier. I was completing the set up and saw that my messages were missing. So I wiped/erased the phone except for the eSIM. I then transferred from my old phone instead of iCloud backup. So far my streaming is working fine now by doing that. So my question would be, what is the difference between the iCloud backup versus doing a transfer from the old phone. It could be a key for Apple engineers!

It’s frustrating isn’t it?

I did the transfer initially and then obviously had done fresh install and iCloud back ups. Nothing has worked so far.

Very frustrating!

I am still better off with this latest phone though. Reboot brings back my connection. Only lost it once since the transfer. I hope you get somewhere with Apple!

Exact same problem here with iPhone 15 Pro Max. WiFi is pretty much unusable for me with continuous network disconnects. Zero problems with WiFi / network issues on M1 MacBook Pro.

27 pages and counting of customers expressing disappointment and frustrations experiencing these same issues.

I sent them screenshots along with diagnostics and the say contact your hearing aid manufacturer. I am still waiting for the last reply from Apple yet.

I also contacted the hearing aid manufacture and I am still waiting for a reply.

Spoke with Apple today. They said engineers were very interested and asked me to do further Bluetooth logging which they did today on my phone by installing a profile and have sent the logs to the engineers so hopefully hear more in a few days’ time. Have also contacted Oticon but Apple and Oticon are apparently in communication about these issues.

Thank you for the update.
Apple did the bluetooth logging on my iPhone too. I mentioned that the only difference was the A17 chip from the other devices that do work. I also sent them a reply from Philips which stated their hearing aids are compatible.

They did reply yesterday and said that there is a problem and it is not with Oticon or Philips. Its Apples problem and they are working on it. It was suggested that the mention of the A17 seemed to narrow it down for them.
