hi.

is there a way to do this. I setup a apple tv and a ps3 on a new apple extreme for this married couple. They have a 2 tb drive connected to the apple extreme. They have movies already stored on it that they want to get to the led screen tv. They are not tech savvy though but are mac users. They want to be able to watch their movie collection from the 2tb and use the apple tv for netflix and itunes rentals. can i make the the ps3 see the 2tb drive and stream from the apple extreme ?

any help would be appreciated.

thanks.

AFAIK, You are going to have to use some form of DLNA protocol, such as PS3 Media Server, in order to serve them up to the PS3.

correct....tvmoboli is also a DLNA server that is free.

so that means that a machine will have to be running to serve it.

MAN TVMOBILI IS AWESOME! I LOVE IT SO MUCH MORE THAN PS3MEDIA SERVER!

it plays everything i throw at it through my ps3!

everything starts fast, ffwd and rwwd WORK!!! it is AWESOME!
