Does anyone have experience using Amazon Fire TV Stick to stream Movies from iPad on to an External TV or Monitor ?

I have the Fire Stick and it wouldn't work - it is an HDMI connection out from the Fire Stick.

When you say it is an HDMI Connection Out of Fire Stick. What do you mean ? will it not go into the HDMI port of the TV or Monitor ?

Ignore my reply - brain hiccup. There are apps that purport to connect to the Fire Stick and allow you to cast from your iPad (search App Store for Amazon Fire) but they all appear to have subscriptions for full functionality. I downloaded one and they wanted $4/week(!).

What I am picking up is Mirroring is not officially supported by Fire TV you have to download some third party APP and install it on the Fire TV and that way you can mirror your Apple Device but still it is unclear if that way you can mirror everything including Movies and the iPad Screen or just screen mirroring is possible through this method.

Can you please test it and let me know ? The name of the APP on the Amazon APP Store is called Airscreen !

I downloaded the app on the Fire Stick and was able to mirror to it from the iPad. But the image wasn't anywhere near as good as a direct connection and video I played wasn't smooth. It apparently has a subscription that maybe gives better quality but that's not clear. As it is, I wouldn't use it.

IMO mirroring to watch video content is not ideal and should be a last resort, though I do realize that people don't necessarily want to have to navigate through the various ways to cast/stream content from various applications otherwise. This is especially true for those of us who have content from many sources/applications/services.

Yeah, a direct connect via HDMI or DisplayPort is the way to go.

The other day I saw a demo in the Apple Store where they were using Apple TV 5th generation and streaming videos using Airplay and screen mirroring for web surfing was just fine in terms of quality and speed (No noticable lag)

My preference is streaming boxes capable of using the services that I use. I have Roku devices and an Nvidia Shield Pro. I never screen mirror, I'm simply not interested in the technology as the interaction with a touch interface being projected onto a separate external display is just not natural for me. We're all different though so I'm not knocking it.

I subscribe to too many services LOL. Netflix, YoutubeTV, HBOMax, Disney+ and Amazon Prime, in ADDITION to cable. But I do like having the ability to fire up any of those associated apps on my iPad and initiate watching them on my Shield or Roku device (which i'm assuming initiates app launches of some kind on those devices, since playback then becomes independent of the iPad to some degree if I wish it via the remote of the device). For downloaded content from various sources I keep my files on a NAS and use Plex via the Shield or a PC that I have on my local network.

Yeah, I prefer to watch my streaming services (Netflix, Prime, xfinity) using installed apps on my 4K TV. Sometimes, I'll watch on the 12.9 Pro (Prime sucks there - 720p in the app, 1080p in Safari). I've got a lot of video on a NAS (ripped Blu-Rays) that I'll watch on the iPad.

For 1080p you have to choose the “better” streaming quality in amazon prime video
  1. Better settings Use About 1.40GB of data per hour so it will be able to stream 1080p content.
For higher quality, you have to choose the “Best” Streaming option.

Nope, the Prime app will not stream better than 720p. Look in lower left corner - it says HD, which means 720p on Prime. Watch on Safari, it will go to "HD 1080p". Unlike on Android ...

Edit: Further reference -
