I've searched the "interwebs" and couldn't find a good thread on this.

I'd like to stream video from a mac pro and sync purchases and all the other content from an iMac.

What options do I have to do this?

I don't want to have to go to settings and select a library everytime and I'd like the videos to show up as "my movies" or "my tv shows" ... Not as "shared movies" if possible.

Also, say none of this is possible, if I point to the video content on the mac pro, to the iTunes library on the imac, does itunes automatically mount the mac pro volume or do I have to manually mount the volume whenever it's not mounted.

Any thoughts?

I have a setup like the one you're describing. My mac mini is synced to the apple tv and all the content shows up under the "My" headings:
My Movies, My Music, etc. My ibook is set up to stream to the ATV and all the iBook's content shows up on the ATV under the "Shared" settings. I think this is the way it's supposed to work and there's no way to getting the streamed stuff to show up under the "My" headings.

It would be cool if both the synced and streamed content all showed up under the "My" headings, but in my opinion it's not that hard to switch between the "My" and "Shared" sections. You do not have to go the Settings section and switch libraries.

Hope this helps....
