Well the day finally came and my 160gb AppleTV is almost full, and now my frustration has begun. I switched from synching to streaming my library and the annoying thing that my appletv is doing is it will not start file playback UNTIL the entire file bar is blue! When it was synched playback was immediate.

Any thoughts about this? its annoying to wait for it to completely load before playback, shoot i might as well watch a DVD then, and sit thru all the previews. Not a network issue, downloads of rentals start playback immediately(i.e. bar not completely blue)

Don't know what your issue is. Mine is set to only stream but I wait 15 seconds MAX for playback...if my Mini is alseep.

That blue progress bar doesn't represent transferring the entire file, it's just the buffer that the :apple:TV determines is necessary (based on your network speed) to play back your streamed file without interruption. If your setup is taking a long time just to buffer the stream, it suggests you've got a network problem of some kind (or just a slow network). Are you using an 802.11b network, by chance?
