Streaming to ATV3 SLOW?!?!

When I stream a HD stream from my iPhone 4S to my ATV 3 its sooooo slow and buffers soooo much why?? My internet connection is fine.....

Th AirPlay? That doesn't go across the Internet back to your apple tv it's local I believe. What type of router do you have?
