Inside A Mac Box
Today I had an opportunity to watch several episodes of Recess on Disney+ brought memories.

I had my phone standing horizontally on top of a desk watching as I laid down on my bed. It was almost like watching a TV to be honest. It was a good experience

Brought up a question to see if anybody else uses their phones for streaming movies and shows on their iPhone?

It’s very rare that I stream TV shows on my iPhone. I watch a lot of YouTube videos on there but I prefer to watch TV shows on one of my iPads or my TV.

Unless I'm out somewhere with only my iPhone (and I can't remember the last time I was), then I'll watch a TV show/movie on my iPhone. 99.9% of the time I stream on my iPad and Apple TV.

I never watch movies on my 12 Max, but I watch youtube videos all the time. For some reason the smaller length of youtube videos (15 min or less) and ability to instantly bounce around to learn about different topics makes it much more appealing to me 🙂

I stream TV and movies all the time to my iPhone 12 pro max, and to the 11pro max before that, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Apple TV+, Disney+, Peacock, HBO...
Most of the time i stream more to the iPhone than my iPad...

I don't. I feel as though I'm missing details with movies or tv shows when I've tried in the past. For a short video, it's fine, but for longer length viewing, I prefer to use my laptop or tv.

I have the iPhone SE2 (and 7, 6 and 5s prior) so I'm always trying to conserve battery on my phone. At most, I'd watch short 2-3 minute clips.

If I'm watching TV or movies on the go, it'll be on the iPad (I always carry one in my purse).

If i hold my phone at about 1.5 feet away, the screen shows just as much detail as my 60” TV that’s about 10 feet away from my chair.
But while on the go i don’t have the iPad with me so maybe I’ll start carrying a purse...
Also spatial audio with the AirPods pro sounds a lot better then the sound bar that i have hooked to the TV

Only if I am out and that's the only device at hand. I will use my iPad before my phone though.

At home - absolutely not. I have a 55" HDTV connected to a sound bar with a 42" Plasma TV in the bedroom. As big as iPhones are they are nowhere near 42 or 55".

My MacPro is connected to my HDTV for the same reason. I will watch on my MacPro - on the HDTV.
