Streaming WD TV Live TO a Mac

Hi. I have an iMac and have recently bought a WD TV Live+.

Because the WD TV Live as a 1tb storeage capacity all my media is stored on the WD TV, not the Mac.

My question is can I simultaneously show the same tv program or movie on my TV and the Mac? WD TV is connected to my TV by HDMI cable and to the network by Ethernet. Mac is connected to the same network by Ethernet.

Sure, I suppose if you access the file system of the WDTV over the network and use VLC to playback your file.

Thanks. I'll give that a try but presumed I wouldn't be able to access the same file with 2 devices at the same time.

There's no problem with playing the same file on multiple devices at the same time.
