Hey, all. I have a launch day iPhone here in 1.0.2, normal baseband, normal IMEI, but stuck in Recovery Mode. I've tried quite a few combinations of iTunes software and iPhone software restores, but none have worked. I can't even do a straight update to 1.1.3, since it's "recovering." Any suggestions?

yes, i used ibrickr but i cant upgrade to 1.1.1...its not workin, my phone is locked :s

this happen to me at 1.1.3 though, but here is the way i fix it.

Plug in phone, and sure itunes it yup and it semi sync your phone, then eject ((keep iphone plug)) and quite itunes, hold down top and home button intill itunes sync up with your phone again (( this will through your phone into recovery mode )) and then try to recover, if you do this and after you recover and getting error 1601 or whatever the numbers are, take sim card out and try to recover. This work for me to kick out and get my phone back to 1.1.1.

note* when you recover without sim card it will give an error about activation, once you eject your phone from itunes and replace the sim and reconnect it will go back to how your phone was saved last.

any luck on this? I am stuck in the same boat. Can't restore with itunes cause it wants to go to 1.1.4. When I try to manually select firmware from the list the files that I downloaded from apple aren't the same as the guide, and everyone I try to select in itunes for hte restore is invalid. Please help!

This sounds IN ALL Cases like the dreaded iTunes being difficult issue!

Change to another PC/Mac and try again and it WILL work!
