Stuck in recovery mode after botched update.

My iPhone won't make it through recovery mode. The software starts to load then a unknown error appears.

Help please.

Put it in DFU mode and try again.

If you're on iTunes 8.2, either:

- downgade back to 8.1 and follow the above
OR
- ignore the above as it appears DFU mode is not working on 8.2
