I woke my MBP, and got the nitification, as expected if there is new email. It won't go away. Options actually works, but has no effect on the message, or the 'stuck' notification.

I've deleted the email, I've restarted Mail. Is there no 'fix' short of restarting the MBP? This is a new 'feature' too, BTW.

Just curious, if (when) it happens again, if there is an 'easy way' to make it go away. It's just weird, first time I've ever had this happen.

I've had the same intermittent issue on my MBP and my iPhone. The only quick resolution I've found is restarting. Sometimes if you give it enough time, it will clear the notification on its own.

Hmm.

It never self-cleared. I restarted, and half thought it would be back again.

I figured deleting the message would push the system to update, but it seemed to be more of a video system artifact, rather than anything tied to the Mail app. First time I've ever had that happen. Strange. Solar wind... 🌝
