Stuck on pin screen

I updated to ios9 public beta and it went fine on my iPad but on my iPhone I unlocked sim before going through the wizard and now it's stuck on the pin screen. Have tried to hold power button for over 10 seconds to hard reset but notting happens. Ideas?

You need to hold the power and the home button for 10 seconds to restart.

Great, worked fine. Has is always been like that?
Maybe I remembered it from android?
Never had to perform a soft reset before on iOS.
