My new iPhone just arrived and I eagerly activated it. This was about 3 minutes ago. Now I've noticed that there's a single stuck/dead pixel which only shows up on a black background.

This is infuriating. It's not a huge deal, but I notice it all the time now because I know it's there. What should I do about it? Do Apple have a minimum number of dead pixels before a return can be made limit? If I were to get it replaced, would the replacement be new or a refurbished one?

Thanks

You have a return policy of 14 days I believe. Have them take it back for a different one. The only time the actual number of dead pixels come into play is when you are making a claim through the warranty, and if you are within the return policy, it's a simple swap out.

Thank you :). I'll go to the Apple Store tomorrow and get it replaced. Will it be done on the spot, or will I have to wait a few days?

I got it replaced, and the new one has a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. This is just stupid.

Where are you getting these dead pixel iphones from lol.

Cant you just take it back again?

I'm on my third iPhone as I have had it replaced twice (first time volume button fell out and second time it started to freeze up)

Getting it from O2. Can't just take it back because I bought it online so I have to actually get the courier to bring a new one which takes a day.

This my friend is the true iPhone experience. I've been through 7 of them so far and they've all had different issues; stuck pixels, dead pixels, dust between the diffuser and LCD, dust between the LCD and the glass, warped plastic, loose silent switches, crooked power buttons, light leakage, cracked housing, poor image quality, loose vibration motors, improperly seated screens... It may sound silly but I still plan to get the new iPhone model this year, though if I notice ANY of these issues on the new models it's going back immediately and I'm ditching the iPhone for good.
