I noticed a stuck pixel in the upper right quadrant of my screen the other day (about 2 inches from the top and 4 inches from the right edge). I've tried JScreenFix, a "pixel massage" and the tapping thing to no avail. Has anyone tried something that has worked on the Rev D screens (13")? It's stuck on red and so is most prominent when there is a dark background.

I'm sorry to say that nothing will work to fix that stuck/dead pixel. I have been victims of these in the past and from experience, if it's stuck, it's stuck. A replacement of the unit is the best remedy...if you still can do that.

Thanks. It's more than 3 months old so it's well past the return period. If 3 more pixels go in the next 8.5 months I'll make another Genius Bar appointment. Fortunately it is most noticeable with dark screens and disappears entirely in red or white so I'll probably just try not to pay attention to it. Is it possible to actually repair these things (as in send it in for a fix)? This is actually the first time I've noticed a stuck pixel (it's my third MacBook Air and between the office and home probably my 10th or 11th notebook).

The pixel is flickering on and off now, so maybe there is an outside chance it is unsticking itself. We'll see over the next few days.

I feel your pain. My old Thinkpad T42 went through 2 screens. The first replacement had dead pixels and then died after about a year. The second replacement had dead pixels and a burn mark on it probably bc the guy who replaced it just hacked at the thing. I hope it gets unstuck.

What I'm noticing now is that when the screen first starts up, it's stuck. Then sometimes it frees up for a few minutes, and then sticks again. If it's just the one pixel I won't bother.

Just go to youtube and search stuck pixel or pixel remover, run it for 5 minutes and that should usually work.

Take it to a genius. A screen so small should not have any dead or stuck pixels. I returned a MBP with one once, within the first 14 days, the Apple sales guy felt so bad, he gave me a free sleeve.
