Here is a head scratcher. I have no boot screen, and am running a MP3,1 el capitan. I need to upgrade to at least High Sierra for my new GPU to have working web drivers(1050ti). I have a geforce 210(came in the damned machine) and a GTX 750 ti, I had here laying around. I went to a Ma and Paw computer shop, and asked for a Mac Native Video card. He hands me a 9500GT and a Radeon 2000 or something. I can't access the recovery console, I don't know how to flash a card (Even if the flash were available) and I am nearly $500 in on this attempted upgrade. Any and all constructive feedback is appreciated and welcomed!

Early 2008 MacPro 3,1 Octa-Core 2.8Ghz 64GB ddr2 GTX 750 ti 2GB, GTX 1050 ti 4GB, GeForce 210 512MB

Thanks in advance!

Not sure why the head scratching. You need a graphic card with Mac EFI and one of these can get you that (if you flash it) or get an original card.
  • ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
  • ATI Radeon HD 4870
  • ATI Radeon HD 5770
  • ATI Radeon HD 5870
  • AMD Radeon HD 7950
  • AMD Radeon HD 7970
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 120
  • NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
  • NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600
  • NVIDIA GTX 680
Honestly, you would have been better off upgrading your Mac Pro to an 2009+ model.

Why do you need boot screen in the first place?
