I'm probably going to order my MBP soon (15" 2.2 2gb then upgrade to 4gb). I am a student so I will be getting a discount on the IPOD and Printer. I'm well aware that a new ipod is due soon, but i won't be able to use my discount on that. So my question is what ipod and printer should i get to accompany my computer?

well, rumors are floating around that we'll see new ipods in august. the ipod promotion ends in september, so it looks like you might be able to get in on that. maybe wait a couple weeks to see if something new comes out. otherwise, i'd get the 4 gb (RED) nano

Heres the problem with that. In the rebate form is gives a specific list of Ipods, therefore I dont think it will matter...... any sugestion on the printer?

thanks,

kevin

I bought the CanonMP460, it was $110, but it was worth spending the $10 to go the step up. I don't see it on Apple site though, I bought mine from a retail store.

Also, I suggest paying the extra $50 and buying a 30G iPod, well worth the investment.

I really don't see Apple revamping the entire ipod line in the middle of an EDU promotion. It just doesn't make any sense and would cause Apple a lot of headaches.

The likely scenarios are an August debut of a new top of the line video ipod that won't be included in the promotion or Apple waits until Sept when the promotion ends and then revamps the ipod line.
