The return policy is the same as without the rebate. However, once you start cutting out the UPC codes on the computer and nano and sending those in, I think you can plan on facing hefty restock fees if you do it within the time period.

If by 'hefty' you mean 100%. Last I recall, cutting out the UPC meant that you could not return it unless you were exchanging a defective that could not be repaired.
i had education discount and did all the offers and had to exchange mine for a new one after the yellow tint was very bad. I had already cut up the box and the guy told me that was fine as long as i had already sent the rebates in then i was good. When they put it in the computer they did it as a return. not sure if that helps but good luck.
