Student Purchase and Adobe Creative Suite

If anyone out there is thinking of making a student purchase of a Mac soon, they have a deal for getting Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard for only $299. I purchased a MacBook Pro recently, but didn't know about this deal and consequently, can't get the deal anymore. I'm kicking myself. Just thought I'd let others know so they don't make the same mistake.

Good deal. As an FYI, check with your school's computer/book store to see if they offer an edu edition of CS3. I picked up the design premium edition for $320 from mine.

I'm looking for a normal/professional version, not the educational one. I'm working as a graphic designer outside the academy and I want to make sure all my software is legal. With the educational version you're not alowed to make commercial work...

Anyone with some bright ideas? I live in Europe where the Design Premium package costs about 1000 euros more than in the US. I'm planning to import but I'm still open for bright ideas of getting it cheaper.
