Hi, On my Mac when I go to the ftp address for the student web server it comes up and I can see the all the folders, but when I try to drag and drop my newly created folder onto it a message says "The folder could not be moved because studentweb.alverno.edu cannot be modified". Just a note: I can do it at school on a PC? Why not at home on my Mac? Thanks.

It's possibly not a matter of Mac vs PC, but a from school vs from home thing. The school may have firewalls in place that require extra authentication when accessing the servers from outside the school. I suggest contacting the techs at the school to find out if this is the case or not.

If it's not the case let us know what FTP app you're using to do this and any other error messages you're getting.

Figured it out!
