I noticed it is possible to control display Brightness only when using the default Apple Display (600 nits) color gamut profile/preset.
When using any other presets, for instance P3-DCI, P3-D65, the brightness control is grayed out. In the P3-DCI the display is very dark, barely visible what is on screen.
On my knowledge Brightness is not a part of the Color Gamut and it should be adjustable.

The presets are made this way, you can adjust it yourself, just copy the setting and adjust as you want.

This might explain it.

You don't know how much I appreciate this video! I have been through two Apple Chats, two Apple Advisor phone calls, trying to fix that I could not adjust brightness! They don't know anything! They have made me even Restore my brand new Apple Studio! I was supposed to call tomorrow, if Restoring did not resolve my problem. I am in SHOCK! I am going to watch this video again! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Now to also learn how to calibrate!
