Hello!
My new "home MacBook Pro" will arrive next week and it is time for a fresh OS.

If I am checking the background applications on my iMac or MacBook I get sick. Too much Adobe stuff etc. unwanted stuff and old stuff.

How can I turn off the stupid background applications? Everytime they come back after a restart. On my old windows computer you could write" msconfig" somewhere and you could choose via mouse clicks what can and can't start.

Is there an easy way on Mac OS? Please without the console or voodoo. Please easy for a woman :) :) :).

I know I can deactivate some applications via "user & groups", but all Adobe stuff starts anyway.

I hope someone can help me.

Thx.

Greetings,
Laura xoxo

If you open your Macintosh HD, then the Library folder, locate these two folders: "LaunchAgents" and "LaunchDaemons"
In here you can see some additional start-up items. Delete them if you are sure, if you are unsure, compress the files into ZIP and then delete them. The changes won't take effect until you log out of your Mac.

The LaunchAgents folder is also present in your personal library folder, which you can open by holding down the OPTION key, and then pull down the "Go" menu and select "Library"

Hope that helps.
