Ok, I realize that the answer to this might be kind of obvious, but it is something that I've been wondering.

Should I let my iPod/iPhone battery completely discharge before I recharge it or is the difference negligible? I've been reading about the lithium-ion batteries and the charge "cycles," (meaning that if used 20% of the battery five times, that would equal one charge cycle) but I was wondering if it would actually be better for the battery if I completely discharged it every time before I reused it.

Maybe it's a little better but i won't do that if i was you, i would just let it play and do so and then plug it in till it's full, and the iPhone, you'll probably have to charge it every night if you work with it often everyday, and if your battery is dead it's maybe time to buy the next generation of iPod or iPhone.

Do not completely discharge it intentionally. With newer lithium batteries it is better to keep them topped off.

I have the same question as you regarding Battery Care. I hope someone can chime in and help us with our questions. The above post from lofight brought nothing to the table.

sorry i'm not really a specialist... :p i just suggest that you don't have to worry to much about it, and just charge it when it's almost empty.

I forgot to ask this in the first post...

Should I completely recharge the battery and then completely discharge it before using a la what I had to do with my PowerBook back in the day?
