Does that Apple on the back of the LCD screen lights on when the laptop is on? :confused:

Yes the apple is a clear cover to the backlight of the display. so long as the display is on the apple is lit up. also if the backlight is turned way down or off ambient light can come back through it.

you can get plastic overlays that go right over in different colors. I've seen them in blue, black, green old skool apple rainbow. They are defiently awesome-0!!
 
i saw that rainbow apple logo mod for the power book and i wanna do it SSOOO BAD but i dont want to void any warranties.

maybe someone at the apple store can supervise or something
?

I don't see what purpose coloring the Apple log would do. When you are using it, you won't see it as the logo is on the back side of the screen. Unless this is just for a "show off" to other people who are watching you using the Apple computer. If I doing eye-candy things on hardware, that would be only for myself.
 
Does it do this on all of the the MB's as well? (the logo thing!)

I know the keyboard is illuminated on the MBP, but if i'm to guess, that it's not on any of the MB's???
 
Ah... I thought that you said you could buy overlays for it. That looks like a lot of work doing it yourself. But I guess if you're that dedicated...

Um, because it's cheap, easy, and it personalizes your Mac? Not all mods are about performance.
