Stupid Question- Apple Trade-in?

The only trade in program that they have is that you can give them your old notebook and they can recycle it for free. You still have to pay whatever price is for the new notebook unless your within your 14 day return period.
well even if apple offered tradeins they'd pay you less than what it's worth, similar to a pawn shop. ebay's the only way to go.
I popped into the Regent St, London store and they told me the remorse period has been extended to 28 days because of the new macbook's being released. I bought my MBA a week before the new ones were announced (I know, annoying). And tried to return it after having it for three weeks but because I bought it online, they won't let me because the online remorse period stays the same (14 days). Ridiculous and unfair right? I'm waiting to hear back on Monday after emailing Steve Jobs hehe. A guy from Texas called me within minutes, does anyone know where those emails to Steve Jobs go? I wouldn't expect him to receive them, let alone read them...

Well, just as you get ripped off by trading a car, if Apple did take trades it would be for less than you could sell it yourself.
I just sold my rev. A on eBay for $1299. Quite a beating to take on an 8-month old computer, but since I replaced it with a Macbook 2.4, I'm happy overall.

Don't trade in!
I find you can sell apple product on Ebay and get much more for it than you can ever get in a trade in. Just be sure you save your boxes to make shipping much easier. So, my advise....don't trade, sell! Sell! Sell!

Yay! I hope they can help me!! If they allow people who have bought their macbooks instore to trade them in then they should allow people who buy online! The email I got back from customer services (2 weeks after I emailed them), was just a quote saying they're never aware of new product launches so can't forsee it - What a load of complete and utter bulls**t!!!
You're kidding right? Why would a company admit to an upcoming upgrade which would negatively impact their sales. What they do is if its within two weeks of your purchase they allow you to return your computer.
The customer service person probably has no idea about product releases.
Just like with cars, you will get hosed on trade in value. Best to sell it privately.
