I'm doing a fresh reinstall of Yosemite on a MacBook Air that I'm giving to a relative, and probably should have been more awake when I erased the SSD using Disk Utility. I know that I should have picked "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" as the format, and that it is the default in Disk Utility, but how do you check/confirm that after the reinstall?

Many thanks!

Just go back into Disk utility and look at the partition tab of the SSD.
