If I install GM candidate now will it just update automatically when released publicly and it will be as if it was never beta? Or should I wait till public release to do a clean fresh install (every year I do a full wipe and clean install when the new OS X comes out) Thanks!

What about Using Google to find the answer of this question?

And, for OS X, since you will eventually need to download full installer from MAS, I would suspect you can upgrade from current GM installation.

If you install the beta then you're better off making sure you reinstall clean when the release comes out as the upgrade process from beta to production is not really supported. It will probably work, but if you DO run into "weird stuff' it may be difficult to troubleshoot.

El Capitan is close, personally if you're this late to the party i couldn't recommend installing it until release, it's not worth it.

AFAK, the GM now can't get update from betas. So I do a clean install and migrate everything from time machine. So I think GM is the new OS. Or at least can upgrade to the new OS.

GM candidate MAY be the new OS. There MAY also be some showstopper bug in it that they revise before release.
