On my MBA I removed the Remote Disk item that would connect to a remote CD-Drive. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get it back on. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks so much!

You could reinstall the OS... I don't know if that is the only/best way to do it, but that sure would do the trick. :) you could also follow the sticky on here at the same time to maximize your hard drive space too...

My guess is that you only removed it from your Finder window (left panel where "Document" "Macintosh HD" etc are) and not entirely from your computer. If you right click or go into preferences for Finder (I forget which one) you should be able to add it back to the left panel. I've had to do it a couple times with the Applications and my personal folder.

just go to your finder preferences > sidebar and made sure there's a checkbox next to connect cds, dvds, and ipods ;)

Sheesh, Now that sounds more like a PC solution....

No worries, it was indeed the fact that I had a MINUS in front of CDs, ipods.... instead of the checkmark. At the resolution I'm running and my eyes, I guess I didn't realize that the icon setting had changed.

Thanks to all for helping me through my difficulty.
