Stylish playback controls on embedded video?

Sorry if this has already been asked (i couldn't see it skimming through).

But how do you add your own nice simple playback controls, when embedding QuickTime video?

Just a simple play button and nice slider. It doesn't seem to be flash, so is it a kind of Javascript and CSS combo?

(PS. I noticed Apple stopped using this method on their Get A Mac adverts page though! Just the normal QT controls.)

Looks to be JavaScript mostly on Apple's site. Finding their exact technique is hard since they minify their JavaScript code. Here's a so-so page on the topic. This is a cleaner page with information on controlling Quicktime with JavaScript.

I've only dealt with creating controls for audio so not sure I have much else to offer. It's not overly easy though unless you find some code to copy and paste.
