Subpar iPhone 13 Pro battery?

Does my battery life compare with what any other 13 Pro users are getting?

As you can see on one of the days I used a full charge I only got 7:25 hours of on screen time with instagram using 36% of my battery with 1:46 hours of on screen time. That seems a bit much.

I'm pretty sure I was getting a couple more hours before but I'm not sure before which iOS update it was.

I'm not doing anything intensive like gaming. Mostly just messaging. I'm on iOS 15.5 and usually on WiFi. Bad app optimisation? I've been thinking about doing a clean iOS install.

Looks like your background activity for Instagram is atrocious and Messenger is pretty bad as well. Turn off background app refresh and enjoy the new battery gains.

Try deleting (temporarily) Messenger and Instagram for a day and see how battery life holds.

I think You may clear the cache of your high-storage apps like messenger and Instagram.

thanks for following up. Deleted both messenger and instagram. Battery life still seems pretty mediocre.

I just did a clean install of iOS BUT restored all my data. Just don't wanna deal with the hassle of starting new. Hopefully this helps. If not then I might really start fresh.

Yeah, the only thing remaining is to do the clean install, but not to install any social media. For comparison sake, on my 12 Pro I use Insta and get a full days charge with 30% left after 7.00pm.

2 Hours, I like the Reels.

I think it helped. About half my battery gone with 4.5 hours screen on time (used it while it was charging for about 50 mins).

Almost 7 hours of screen on time with 20% left. I mean it's better but not by that much. Battery seemed to drain faster later on in the day. 🤷🏻‍♂️
