So, I’m having an annoying problem for weeks now. None of the dlna video players are able to show subtitles for vids I am playing. Not VLC, not playerXtreme, not MXplayer, you name it. VLC, for instance, does not even show the icon for subtitles, which would let you choose the srt file.

Funny thing is, my iPad shows subtitles fine with all players. My iPhone 8 and my iPad are both on iOS 11.3.1.

Perhaps some of the settings on my iPhone are scrambled? Though I cannot find any such settinf which might be the cause of this. Any help would be much appreciated!
