suddenly no mails in one account (of several)

On my ipad i have several mail accounts. One of them suddenly doesent show mails now.
If i look with other devices (also iphone or android or webmail), everything looks fine.
I have recreated the account and restarted the device, but always nothing to see in this account.

Is that one account Yahoo, by any chance?

My Yahoo mail account refuses to work on both iPhone and iPad. I deleted and recreated it but that only worked temporarily. It’s now back to just spinning for many minutes but never showing new mail. (iOS 11.3)

No, it is an exchange account (in detail: UCS/Kopano with active Sync)

From what very little I know about Kopano I'm thinking you should have that account set up as IMAP.

This cant be the right way. On other ios devices it works perfectly. Only on this one device it doesent.
I need the exchange mechanism for contacts and calendars, therfore IMAP isnt the right way.
