Suggestion for good beginners book for OS X Tiger.

I recently moved in with my gram while i go to college and i told her i would help her learn how to use my computer. Well, seeing as i am framiliar with everything and i know how it works i am having trouble going slow enough to teach gram. I have to show her everything about 10 times but i kinda figured it would be that way.

What i need is a good book that will show things out visually and not really go into a lot of detail. I have been doing some searching but there are a lot of books. I was ust wondering what ones people here have used and like? And remember my gram is about 65 so nothing to detailed and confusing.

There is a book called The Mac mini Guidebook that goes into a good amount, but not to much detail into Tiger, I picked up a copy for $5 as a gift for a friend at CompUSA. Even if you aren't dealing with a mini it is filled with good knowledge that might help your grams.

The Little Mac Book - Tiger Edition by Robin Williams. This may be what you're looking for. There are exercises to do as you go along so you could help gram with those. Can you get to a bookshop and see for yourself?

"The Missing Manual" by David Pogue is the best, in my opinion.

Check on the website before you go and see what it says about the books that have been recommended. If you have a few on a list to look at, see if they are in stock, have a look and find a member of staff who you could talk to. They should know the books they sell and what sort of customer buys them. If you explain what you are looking for, you may be surprised by how helpful they are. Also, show your list to computer staff at college, see what they think. It is easy to find books for experts, but finding one for your gram would be a challenge for most people.
