Suggestions for what to do with a G4 Mac Mini

I've got a G4 mini I'd like to do something with. I don't want it in my family room because it has a somewhat noticeable whine when running, but I'm reluctant to get rid of it since it still works great. I replaced it back in 2011 (with another mini) as my regular family computer.
What are your suggestions?

Adobe CS1
Freehand
Web development with CocoaMySQL, Smultron, Cyberduck, MAMP

Disk server for backups, iTunes, and other files. Put it in a room or closet where you won't mind the whine.
