Alright, so I plan on getting an MBA 1.8/80 HDD. I plan on running just the simple stuff like M*crosoft Office, Photoshop CS3 (not crazy, but just some minor photo editing for school projects) and it's for web/e-mail etc. I was thinking that I will be buying an External Hard drive because of the lack of capacity. Now, do you recommend partitioning it so it is capable of doing both Time Machine and extra storage? Or do you have other suggestions?

If it is 160ish GB, I guess time machine and a bit of extra storage wouldn't hurt. I use a 160 gb external in this fashion. There are tips to get OSX down in size on the Air. You may not even need the external. You could move the photos to your main comp. Those will drain the most space depending on if you shoot raw.

Nope, I don't do photography. I just do small things like logo design and other stuff. Thanks for the help.
