I see all these pictures of people who have rearranged the order of icons when using summerboard. I've also tried to turn on the 5 icon dock, but can't figure out how to get a 5th icon down there. Any help would be appreciated.

Another noob here.

I have an odd problem with Summerboard.

I have installed and selected the 'Leopard' theme but when I go back to springboard all my original icons are stuck with the original background, I can see the Leopard background underneath and when I scroll down the new icons such as lights out, finder etc float above the leopard wallpaper as I would have expected all the icons to do, anyone know how to correct this?

Have you turned on the Theme icons, dock and wallpaper?

Also remember that for the icons to change the theme actually has to have icons in it. The Leopard theme, for example, only has the wallpaper and dock but no icons. Download a theme like Blueprint, Prado or Litho to check if its working correctly. Also remember that even the themes with icons don't have all the applications covered so not everything will change. Because the icons are Summerboard specific if you are looking at the apps in a Launcher or Finder the icons will remain stock.

Have you used iFuntastic to rearrange your springboard in any way? It sounds like the icon issue with iFuntastic. If so that is your problem and you will have to restore and then downgrade to rid your phone of iFuntastic.

Yes, I have used iFuntastic to rearrange the icons so that sounds like it's my problem. Is there an easier way to remove it than restoring? my iphone is unlocked and I'd rather not risk stuffing it up.

I managed to remove iFuntastic by downloading the latest version of iFuntastic which has an option to remove the support files, this has solved my problem :)

Well, not quite, I don' have any icon labels now :(

Might have to restore after all, hopefully I can do this and unlock a 2nd time (if necessary) successfully.

No need to restore the phone! To fix the missing labels, simply fill in the blanks in /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/LocalizedApplicationNames.strings on the phone (either with vim running on the phone, or download the file from the phone, edit it locally, and upload it back to the phone), then kill -HUP SpringBoard or restart the phone.

Ok, sounds an easier way but what is vim and where do I get it?
